ToC Stage 6 (Solvang Time Trial)

 Here are a few teasers for your viewing pleasure. I took well over 500 shots today, so it may take a while to sort them and upload some of the good ones.

 My dad and I left San Jose at 5:55 this morning and returned at 9:10 PM. We ended up watching the race just below the top of the hill that marked the 2KM to go point. It was a great spot, with a view about 300 yards down the road. So we could really see the riders coming, and I had plenty of time to setup my pictures. Afterward, we rode the course in reverse. Very fast on the southbound part. Though going the other way may have been just a little slower. I was pushing at about 31 MPH for about 4 miles... Such fun! And yes, I did pick up a danish and some cookies at the Solvang Bakery.

Wow, we almost missed these excellent photos (did not see the thread earlier). Thanks F'ueco! Even though you've gotten way more photos than these, I would say even with just these four, it already made your long drive worth it.

I can't help but notice how Lance did not carry a water bottle, Levi carried a regular one, and the last one (who?) had a weird looking (aero?) bottle. Oh, BTW, did Lance get a belly?

Now I need to practice the look on my face, and then I might ride faster.

The last guy was David Zabriskie. He's the USA time-trial champion, and was 2nd overall in the ToC this year behind Leipheimer.

F'ueco, I personally think that the best riders' leg shot is this one. That definition is just amazing. I still can't get over the belly though.
