Coe Challange.
« on: November 25, 2008, 07:02:09 PM »
Before the end of the year I would like to make another stab at the 10,000 ft of elevation gain.. I would like to keep to the same route that we had from last weekend.

Erik, I have a route that I would like to run by you for the 12,000 to 15,000 ft ride..

Mission accomplished. Delbomber, I just uploaded Mud's GPS data from your ride. Here is what came out of it:

total distanceAscent
Garmin Training Center39.539113
Motionbased38.3310,277
MTBguru38.911,972

No need to ride 10K or 12K. All you need is mtbguru.
Inch by inch, I will get there.

mission accomplished?  Do we celebrate?  Which one is more accurate?   Do we say we did 10,000 feet or can we say 12,000 ft?

I think we did something in between the 9100 and the 10,277 so at least one more ride is in order to make sure we went over the top.

I think we might be able to pull of this weekend.  If not next weekend.  This weekend we are busy Thursday and Saturday.  That leaves Friday and Sunday as possible Coe days.

It is raining today so the trails should be nice and tacky the rest of the weekend.

Modified the 301 to display elevation.

Need to talk to Mudworm to see what's up.

I am pretty stoked about the 10K.  Let's start planning the 15K!!!  I was thinking either the Spring or the Fall of next year..

Definitely felt good.  I agree early spring late fall will have long days yet some what cooler temps.  A 15k would be awesome I think we can definitely do it.
