Alpine West PR
« on: October 11, 2008, 12:48:20 PM »
Rode the low key Alpine West ride this morning.  I think I got a PR for my slowest time.  This was part of the Low Key Hill Climb Series so the time is recorded.

The ride started with about 100 people at the intersection of Alpine and Pescadero.  By the time we got to the bottom of the hill about 80 people had passed me.  Going up the hill about 20 people passed incuding a couple MTB's with full knobbies, a guy towing his daughter in a trailer, and a guy on a unicycle that had full knobbies.

I tried to stand up, one of my favorite ways to climb, but felt absolutely flat.  I spent almost the entire climb in my granny gear and I did not even have the juice to spin.  Just kinda ground the thing out.

Two weekends ago I got my PR (My Fastest Time) going up Sierra Road.

What can I say today I just had nothing to give Alpine West one of my favorite hill climbs.

What a bummer!

I did not even time myself on Sierra today, but it did feel a little slow...

But I do have  a race tomorrow morning. It's the prologue for the SJBC's winter race series. Should be a fun 1.9 mile sprint, and then we're going for a ride.  :)
