« on: April 13, 2008, 09:09:21 PM »
Well?

Squiddo and I climbed at Sugarloaf Sat and Sunday. The temps were perfect.

Did anyone else get out?

The Eastern Front?

The Loaf was perfect, not too hot with a little breeze. But the approach, oh the approach.

gorgeous in the valley past 4 days, once you're past the 120/140 delays.  high points included Arches Terrace Direct, Poker Face, Bitches Terror, as well as Arch Rock, Chapel Wall, and other fun stuff.
is it getting too hot at the Pinns?

F#$% you and the government and anyone who mentions taxes. I hate the income tax, I hate the taxing authorities. If I didn't pay this f#$@king much in taxes every year I would have retired 5 years ago. Maybe 10. Every GD year I go through this same shit. F@#$< f$#@ f#$%.

Brad,

So your saying you wouldn't agree to Pinnacles usage tax based on routes per season?  You know something small like a 15 cents a route.

Let's see... calculating retroactively since 1995 ... compounding the interest (modestly at 2.5%) ... adjusting for inflation ... OK, Mr. Young it looks like you owe the National Parks association around $10,000.  Would you like to pay it now or would quarterly payments be easier?    ;D

"Hissy!" Hissy barely begins to describe it. How about ranting, fu*&ing ranting, screaming, bitch-fest. Again. Karl's suggestion would be cheap, way cheap. The bastards. I just wrote checks that total more than 4 times what I earned (gross) in the first year of my career. It's tiresome beyond belief.

On another note, and this very serious. As pissed as it makes me, it would help if it went somewhere that seemed to help. Yes, the NPS does a good job (overall). Other parts of the government work well. But, god the waste and the monumental incompetence. I just got notice that my sales taxes "weren't paid to the state" for the last quarter of '07. Really? Too bad the dipshits cashed the check I sent with the sales tax return. Assholes can't even keep track of what's been paid and not. Presumptive twits too, no asking if I've paid, noooo, the dingleberrys say pay now or else. So I'll take my time to correct their f&%$ing stupidity.

Already went for an hour and a half walk with the girls. I'm one beer into it. El wifo del perfecto is just now bringing number two. I'll be unconscience in half an hour. And tomorrow I leave for depos in Los Angeles (AKA hell on earth). Ha, but then I skip out for 5 days climbing shady routes in Josh with "The." It'll all disappear.

You, Joe. We got a good start on Valley stuff in March. Gotta get another weekend on calendar for more of the same.

It takes two bureaucrats to change a light-bulb. One to assure the public that everything possible is being done to alleviate the problem.

While the other screws the bulb itself into the water faucet.

Please do not try and subdue Brad.  This was beginning to get fun.  So Brad your trying to say you paid more than a $1.98.  Just glad I make enough to pay.   The Gov does friggin piss me off.  It seems difficult to believe they can waste so dam much money.  Fiscal responsibility has no definition to them.

Good thing they bailed out Bears Stearns.  Ha, they had to raise their stock price because those Stock holders were hurting so badly.  So one of  their  Chairman James Cayne sold $61.3 million.  Yes that is the punishment for fu@$ing up real bad.  Another guy sold 30 Million dollars worth of stock.

That is the ineptitude of our Government.  In Sweden when this happened they bailed out the company for about $30 B  in Swedish Money what ever that is.  But they made the company "completely open it's books and in the end ended up getting all their money back plus a profit.  THAT will never happen in the US of A.

F*&$king PUnters.
