TR: March 30, 2008 Party at Discovery Wall
« on: March 31, 2008, 08:40:16 PM »
This was posted already in another thread:

===========================================================
The day started out dicey -- cloudy, gusty, with occasional drizzles.  In the afternoon, there was more sun and it warmed up a little.  Finally, the day ended being spectacular.

F4, Mud, and I were joined by the Landshark family at Discovery Wall. In the morning, we were almost ready to call it a day after Wet Kiss and Big Pucker, but as the day went on, we assaulted Between a Rock and a Hard Place, Verdict, Pistol Wipped, Broken Arrow, Here Comes the Judge, Buffalo Soldier. I did all of them on TR  :-[, but then it was the first time I got on the four underscored climbs today, which made it all special.  All these climbs are CLASSIC!

A party was held at F4's place afterwards. Happy B-Day, Landshark!
===========================================================

Here are the photos:

Something does not seem right... The belayer wears a helmet, but the leader does not!

Oh, that's because F4 needed the helmet to keep his head warm in the cold weather. How cold? Well, here is Debby and Mud to show you how cold it was. (We ran into Debby at DW.)

Big daddy and little baby

It's nice to have a big daddy because he makes a pretty darn good swing

Give me her email address. I'll invite her, nag her, entice her... I'm feeling a little lonely here.

Believe it or not, at one time I was innocent and harmless. But that was pre-mudncrud era though.

I feel guilty now  :-[. I should not be mean to Mud  :-*. But that's how he dresses in the morning because it's been cold and the heater in his Trooper is broken (leakage some where). Imagine him in that outfit and two non-matching green/blue gloves...

I knew Mudworm before her MudnCrud days. I can vouch for her being at least relatively innocent then. She was kind and quiet. Nice to strangers. Back in the day.

Believe it or not I actually wonder, at times, if I have done wrong.  I have noticed mudworms lose of a certain innocence.  The part that bothers me most, and I have actually tried to curb on my side, is she now on occassion curses.  I do not think that happened in the past.

I must say, she has been good for me in many ways.  Unfortunately, I do not know if the opposite is true.

I don't think you've got much to worry about Mr Mud. Mudworm is incredibly smart. She makes careful choices; well thought out. I still hear her laugh a lot. Maybe there are some small changes, but who knows, maybe they're for the better. I think you've been good for her too. Don't sell yourself short. You may be an old, stubborn, ugly curmudgeon (hell, drop the word "may") but you're also an incredible person. I think you're both quite lucky to have found each other.
