We met a guy who was out at Stoney with his 17 year old son. He was getting back to climbing after 17 years off. He climbed there back in the day. His son (a beginner) was intently working on technique. Nice chat.

Johnny did some laybacking.

We went ocean fishing out of Oxnard. Johnny said he wanted to catch a shark. I told him the best bait for catching sharks are oxnards.

We broke down 10 miles outside of Ventura. Truck is parked at Ford, see what is up in the morning. We are watching tv and eating pizza at a hotel. Long day.

It is beautiful and i can't complain. AAA covered the tow and $500 towards motel and food. Truck should be ready tomorrow and has bumper to bumper for 125k. Policy covers car rental and $100 a day for motel that AAA doesn't pick up. What costs is the work missed. What is great is getting to spend more time with Johnny. If Martha were here, it would be perfect.

Here is a dialog my buddy had with him:

Co-Worker-I heard you caught some trout. Man that's hard, I tried once in a lake and go nothing.
Lucas- Nah, don't go to a lake. Go to a trout farm. That's where the real action is.

The kid caught 2x large trout over 14".
Yes, it was a $$ day for Jenny. I had to deal with the fish.

Thursday it's two $25 dollar tickets to a Cowboys/49ers preseason game. My second 49ers game and Johnny's first. His mom is a Raiders fan, so you can't imagine my satisfaction at my grandson rejecting her team for mine.

Sunday(5th) is Johnny's Birthday.
