JC that looks like my first motorized scoot, circa 3rd grade or something.  Rob I moved on to Moto's in junior high then in my 20's grew up and started to ride mountain bikes.

JC, I agree that guy is really good.  Fairly amazing is that their are a lot of unknown guys around here that can really ride.  This is kind of a crazy rib injury since it is kind of high, up under my armpit and peck area.  I have looked at armor, perhaps.  Maybe I should just go all local and wear carharts and a t-shirt.

Funny dude. You can see the date on that mini bike pic - 1969 and it was a 1964 Rupp - bought used for $125 (a lot back then).

I love to ride and always have - wheelies, skids, slides, jumps, with the occasional crash of course. You gotta test your limits some of the time to see how far you can push it right? Sometimes you push it too far.

How do you like my protective gear on the Yamaha? Bell helmet and Italian boots (Sidi Full Bores) - denim in between.  :ihih:

I remember those boots.  Never had a pair but they were the boots to have.  I had a Rupp, well it was a home cooked rig with a Briggs and Stratton engine and a Rupp seat, lol.

Engine blew shortly after purchase. Replaced it with a Tecumseh. That mini was notorious for throwing the chain. A friend of mine gave me a rigid rear frame with a leading link front end and it was much better. Used to have a blast riding around in the woods, along the tracks and on a homemade local motocross track. Good times

Here is the modded mini with better shocks and the leading link front end.
I also changed to a steel shoe clutch, a bigger back sprocket, beefier chain and had sawtooth footpegs welded further back for better geometry.
It's in front of my cork wall in the basement room in Akron - big cork tiles so I could put up pics and posters easily.
This was the last house we lived in before moving to KY

My parents also let me paint the cement block walls alternating orange and black (circa 1973)
This is the only picture I have of just part of one wall and the table I painted.

Jumping the mini at what would be my new high school in KY - end of summer 1975
I met who would become my best friend that day - Stokes Huffman - he had a Yamaha 175 - I was soooooo envious!
