The current forum runs on language PHP 5.4. I just remembered an announcement from the web hosting service that they are forcing the PHP upgrade to 5.6 (supposedly to start March 14), which will most likely break the forums at the current version.

If you suddenly cannot access, please take many deep breaths and know that it is temporary. It could take days before the forums come back due to the admin (yours truly)'s incompetency. The upgrade of the forum package is a bit complex. But life without Mud 'n Crud for a few days may just be the novelty that everyone needs from time to time.

Pretty ironic too since I was having trouble with access last night and went to the old forum.
Some fun reading on there.
I guess we will figure out for ourselves when the worm has turned

Oh, if that does not convince you, yeah, I'm a bit busy too. Will not get around to the major upgrade for at least a few days. Hence the warning.

Not hoax, not fake news, but more like Y2K. You held your breath and the moment came and went. Nothing happened.

Received notification that PHP upgrade was complete and old PHP versions was removed. Hmmm... I thought we had to be on the older version due to the old version of the Forum package. Not sure how we dodged it, but I'll not count on the good luck forever. At one point, when I can allocate a day, I'll work on the Forum upgrade. The upgrade shouldn't take that long, but I want to make sure there is enough time to work on fixing in case anything breaks.

I'll let you guys know in advance.
