The same ones that you have climbed with, yes.

Were they on the sharp end or the dull end?
Hope it wasn't the same experience I had with them. Digby is a horrible belayer.

Yeah, she just doesn't have the body weight.

Both Joel and Caleb got very excited morning greetings from her when they got up (of course).

The old mans’ climbing crew is enjoying Eye Candy Crag and Bonnie Lass Buttress. Nice temps in the shade.

Dave Harden loved the routes up there. He's been climbing at Pinnacles since 1971 and loves getting new pitches in (he measures by pitches). Great grades, very nice routes, a new location and a bunch of new pitches for him. Dawson got in a new lead and Joel got in two. Bart was on injured reserve and Mike had already headed home this morning.

And by the way, anyone is welcome to join these old men trips. We almost renamed it the old folks trip this year when Ann was going to join. But then she had a work thing.

Although in theory the entry age is 60, one only has to think they are old, think like they are old or at least say the word “old” to be welcomed.

I'll make sure to hang around the team kids at the gym some more. I'll get there soon that way.

I tried to explain to the guys how some of the names were derived, especially Chubby Rain and Fake Purse Ninjas.

I got as far as either classic sleeper movies, or lines from movies or characters from movies. I couldn't remember and I don't have much of a background with that kind of deep cultural stuff.

They seemed to get the general idea, at least.

This morning when Chris picked me up for some gym climbing, he noticed I was more bubbly on the drive than usual. I guess that's what a fun day of sport climbing at Pinnacles (plus a good night of restorative sleep) can do for me.

I feel that this picture (from yesterday) belongs in this thread.

Inch by inch, I will get there.

Hmm. This looks vaguely familiar but I cannot place where.

Looks like the first pitch or Power Tools?

I thought I gave an obvious clue there : "sport climbing".

I'd read some accounts of climbing Power Tools, but hadn't gotten to tackle it myself. That really is an impressively mossy pitch.

The moss threw me off.  I usually don't associate moss and sport climbing.  I guess this is partly true for Power Tools because there is a moss entrance fee for the first couple of pitches to get to the sport climbing.
