Sale:Powers SS 3/8 x 3 1/2, 5 Piece Bolt #R5914 & Fixe SS 038-3/8 Hanger

Double wedges were on sale too - that's clink's go to bolt.

I was tempted but I am really just into rebolting existing routes right now.
There is still so much work to be done and so few that are willing to do it.

Noal and I have replaced 12 bolts over the last two weekends.
I'll wait until we get a few more routes done to post it all at once.

Hi, JC

Can you do glue in bolts?  I have two requests, the first bolt one Tailspin/Foreplay and the fourth bolt on Future Shock ( this one wiggles ).  I do not lead this hard anymore but those two bolts are a bit shaky and get a bit of traffic.

thanks,
Mud

Sorry - I haven't done/been trained on any glue-ins and don't have the materials either.

I'm going to refer this to Kyle - I bet he has the skills and the desire to refurbish the really hard climbs.

If I'm supported financially with hardware I will donate my time. I would also like to update the anchor on Foreplay. God that thing is just a cluster F#$%!

As it is I'm looking into hardware this morning and took a long look into glue-ins. While I haven't installed any glue ins I'm pretty sure I can get a mentor. I know a guy!

Does anyone have a price estimate for two glue ins?

I can help with the anchors on Foreplay, those are easy to get to and I may even have bolts and hangers.  Will be out of town until next week so I will not be able to check for a bit.

I can get glue-ins for about $6. That doesn't include the glue, $14 a tube, or any of the additional tools needed. 12mm bits are over $10 each. Need a glue gun as well.

Alright, let's do this.  I will send you a note when I get back.

So wish a permit could be had to make this a fast job. But it will take a few hours each to drill.

You can borrow my caulking gun. The glue cartridge can do a couple at once.
Remember once we started flying it was a race.

Check the temp requirements for curing....it might be too hot?

That's a lot. If going for that kind of volume, there is a "hardware fastener supplier" next to Mungie's casa that carries powers...you have to buy 1 box at a time....good savings from what I remember.

I can hook you up with hangers....

That would be fantastic.  If we could get at least two that would be very nice.  Plus beta for how to do it.  Have placed a couple but I have no idea if I am really doing it correctly.
