Jody, make sure to visit Josh in the winter, at night, this year, and get rocks silhouetted by a midnight blue sky background.

practically guarantee a sale bro- the laurel pic reminded me of it.

Munge is correct. I awoke in the middle of the night and the moon was illuminating the rocks. Could have climbed a route or two it was so bright... but to sleepy. Kinda wierd because the nights would be crystal clear and then the mornings hazy.

I need to figure out how to do that long exposure stuff on my DSLR. I had given it a half hearted attempt, but I think I need to actually read the directions.
I'm not worthy.

Most DSLR's I know of have a maximum of about 30 seconds. I used my old manual for the Laurel shot and held the shutter open for about 1 minute at 4.0 and 100 film.

Click http://abetterphotoguide.bizhosting.com/day_night_exposure_calculator.html for an outstanding tool for special exposures. Probably the most used tool in my photo bag.
