PCT 50
« on: May 15, 2007, 01:26:40 PM »
Ran the Pacific Crest Trail 50 miler on 5/12.  Ran into stomach issues at mile 21 that plagued me the next 29 miles, causing all kinds of other issues (not eating enough, etc).  Still managed to finish in about 11:45.  The garmin says 10,700 verticle gain.

There is a new race this year in Marin on 8/11 and 8/12.. the Headlands 50/100.  Probably go for the 50, maybe the 100.

Dude, that is awesome.  We went for a 50 mile bike ride a few weeks back that had 5,000 feet of climbing and I was tired afterward.  Still mowed the lawn but I was tired.  I can only imagine what condition I would be in if ran that.
