Henry Coe State Park November 23, 2014

Ad hoc trail work day on one of my Adopt-A-Trails, White Tank/Rose Dam (brushing).

No "pre" photos but trust me the shin shredding aspect of this bit of trail has been alleviated!

It's steep and ends with a sharp <a href=";
">Dead Man's Curve[/url] left:

Due to the formerly narrow track, it was becoming a slot car track:

I also whacked some nearby Poison Oak. This is the time of year to deal with P.O. Phoneline is on my to-do list.

Cool, clear day and the traction was great from a little rain the day before—fun riding! Wildlife sightings: not much, few newts and a half-dozen cows:

People sighting... pre-ride, Mark H (track) and Jim O/yerba. Climbing Lyman Willson I found Eric S clearing leaves, twigs, and the like out of the drains. While chatting, Ken fka Orange Voodoo Guy stopped by. Out on Rose Dam, Jeff/TahoeBC rode by with Josh (track) and Troy(?). The parking lot was pretty full, great to see so many out there.

I like this (former) tree. That is all.

A silhouette of an Oak tree with a sunset background means what?

Answer: it means I was up on a ridge at sun down and a night ride descent is to follow. Yay!
