Helping Injured Vets thru Action
« on: September 27, 2011, 04:38:19 PM »
Hey all,

Apologies for the post up that isn't directly mud related, but Tim is a great dirt bag climber, so that counts right?  So maybe this should go on the Bicycle pages?

Some of you already know this climber/dirtbagger Timmay :)  He is doing a big cross-country bicycle ride to support The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund (a 501(c)(3)). This Fund supports returning vets in an immediate way with low overhead.  His goal is huge!! ($50,000)  This guy always takes on huge challenges, like first ascents of big walls. His ride will take him across the entire country, starting at the Mountain Warfare training center on Sonora Pass and going East. Check out his site for the full story...

His site is http://www.opawakening.com

Please consider his effort as a one man effort to raise awareness and raise funds to do a whole lot of good, so whatever you can do is appreciated.

I've known Tim and his wife for many years now and can vouch for this effort as being the real deal grass roots kind of fund raising.

thanks much guys and gals for taking a look,
Rob

Either location works.  Hope Tim makes his goal, looks like a worthy cause.
