First road ride of 2009
« on: January 03, 2009, 06:28:54 PM »
Mudworm and I rode Alpine West and Old LaHonda.  She is riding much stonger on the flats and rolling hills.

I got a PR on Old LaHonda 22:51.

Alpine West was fun going back and forth with some guy that looked like a real rider.  He finally dropped me near the top.

Good job!

I didn't break any PR on this ride, but I tried the panoramic mode on my camera the first time. It was a clear day. We could see as far as the Sierra mountains, or at least so claimed Mud.

Joan and I did our first "long" ride of 2009 today... We met up with some friends at The Bike Outfitter and rode up through Portola Valley and Woodside into Millbrae and then back the same way. After the rest of our group split off to go home and get warm, we headed up to Stevens Creek Reservoir before heading home. Mighty fine day, and we ended up with 91 miles.

From the ridge above Burlingame, we could see Mt. Diablo, Mt. Hamilton and a pretty good chunk of land.
Live from Boulder, CO...
