Pinecrest Peak mtn bike trail map wanted
« on: August 13, 2014, 11:02:12 PM »
Have been in the area, and would like to see where the mtb trails go in this area.

for you entertainment, I found this on the interwebs...

Uncle Stinky, the old trogdor forums used to have some trail maps.

Not for nothing, but this thing really does look great.

looks cool.  He should have ridden those step downs.  ;)

Summit to Sonora would be fun.  How to link that together...

the real question is how to get from 395 to Sonora,

Forest service map would help but there are probably some unmarked trails in there and I would think some area's without a trail

dirt road from MWTC to up near the Pass. Maybe ride xc till over, then parallel the highway down to Fun Area (some game trail thru there). Follow the old road out from Fun Area, cross creek, ride south side of creek down stream to Chipmunk Flat. Cross back over, and ride hwy down to Kennedy... Below kennedy ascend up the old abandoned road toward Eagle Meadow road that is near the picnic area. Not the one that is by the Vista.

Once up high again, ride established dirt roads toward Pinecrest Peak, down to Strawberry. I believe the railroad grade will get you from Strawberry down to Twain Harte.

lots of stuff on Pinecrest trail.  from there it gets a bit hazy.  Did find the start!  A trail from 395 to a few miles up 108.
