Title: Limiting posts per page?
Post by: mungeclimber on May 14, 2017, 09:12:22 PM
I feel like I should have found this by now. Apologies for what will likely prove to show how lame I am; where can I edit the number of posts to show per page load? e.g. Brad's PCT volume 32 thread has so many images it is impossible to load on mobile and barely tolerable to load on broadband because it loads every post when I click into the thread.

At one point I remember it being the opposite and I changed it to show all posts in first page load.

Were I the admin I'd remember, but I'm not.

in the immortal words of the reverend of Rock Ridge " Yer on your own".

+1 more for the post count.

I did not know you could do that and I have not looked at this on a phone.  That is a novel concept.

Don't think there is a personal setting for that, but I changed the posts per page from 100 down to 20, which is consistent with THAT forum.

However, you can change your own setting to display newest posts on top, i.e. Page One of a topic now will have the latest posts and the newest shows up on top. That way, your screen does not need to finish loading all the pics for you to see the newest post.

How? When you are logged in: (top) Profile -> (left) Look and Layout Preferences -> Check "Show most recent posts at the top." and save.

thx Mudworm! I'll try the filter to do recent on top too.
